June 2025 – Paris, France — Carlos Alcaraz and Coco Gauff celebrated their victories at this year’s French Open not only with trophies but also with standout luxury watches. Both tennis stars sported Rolex timepieces during their award ceremonies at Roland Garros, according to Hodinkee.
Alcaraz, who triumphed after a grueling final match, wore a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona with a blue lacquer dial, Ref. 126518LN. The watch features an 18-carat yellow gold case and an Oysterflex bracelet and retails for approximately $36,400. The Spanish champion is known for marking Grand Slam victories with different Daytona models. For this win, he chose the newly released 2024 edition, first seen at Watches and Wonders. Previously, he wore a meteorite-dial Daytona for his wins at Wimbledon and the French Open in 2024, and a black-dial Daytona to celebrate his 2022 U.S. Open title.
Coco Gauff, who also clinched a win on Roland Garros’s red clay, wore her signature Rolex Oyster Perpetual “Red Grape” during the ceremony. She previously wore the same watch when she won the U.S. Open in 2023. The model, Ref. 116000, is believed to be the 36 mm version and houses a 3000-series movement. The “Red Grape” dial has been discontinued for over a decade, making her piece particularly rare.
The runners-up also showed off impressive watches. Italy’s Jannik Sinner, who battled Alcaraz in what became the second-longest Grand Slam final ever at five hours and twenty-nine minutes, wore a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona in 18-carat Everose gold.
Aryna Sabalenka, meanwhile, appeared in an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak with a vibrant turquoise dial. A brand ambassador for AP, she has previously worn the limited-edition Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon released for the model’s 50th anniversary.
With Wimbledon beginning on June 24, fans can expect more luxury timepieces to appear courtside.
