Tudor has expanded its Black Bay 54 collection with the release of a new 37mm variant featuring a vibrant “Lagoon Blue” dial. This latest addition maintains the core specifications of the original 2023 model but introduces fresh cosmetic updates, including a sand-textured dial, a mirror-polished relief-style bezel, and a five-link bracelet.
The original Black Bay 54 was inspired by Tudor’s first dive watch, the reference 7922 from 1954. It offered a slim case and vintage-style proportions, catering to those seeking a smaller, more wearable tool watch. The new “Lagoon Blue” version continues in that tradition while adding a modern and colorful twist.
The 37mm case remains unchanged in design, keeping the Black Bay 54 in line with the brand’s ongoing trend of reducing case sizes—from the 41mm Black Bay to the 39mm Black Bay Fifty-Eight, and now 37mm with this model.
Inside, the watch is powered by Tudor’s in-house MT5400 movement, known for its 70-hour power reserve, COSC-certified accuracy of -2 to +4 seconds per day, and silicon hairspring for added magnetic resistance.
Priced at $4,350, the Black Bay 54 “Lagoon Blue” blends vintage inspiration with a bold new color palette. While some may compare it to the popular Tiffany-blue hues seen in other models, this version offers a sportier and more robust alternative.
Tudor continues to lead the way in creating smaller, high-performance watches that appeal to a broad range of enthusiasts, without sacrificing the quality and durability expected of a dive watch.
