Apple’s upcoming watchOS 26 update will work with all Apple Watch models that support watchOS 11, a reliable source on X (formerly Twitter) has revealed. If this information is correct, watchOS 26 will be compatible with:
- Apple Watch SE (2nd generation)
- Apple Watch Series 6
- Apple Watch Series 7
- Apple Watch Series 8
- Apple Watch Series 9
- Apple Watch Series 10
- Apple Watch Ultra
- Apple Watch Ultra 2
Unlike previous versions, Apple will name this update watchOS 26 instead of watchOS 12. This numbering matches the software updates planned from September 2025 to September 2026.
The update will bring a refreshed design similar to the new look expected in iOS 26. While changes to watchOS may be less dramatic, Apple is expected to introduce new watch faces that follow the updated style.
