Infantry, a watch brand known for its themed timepieces, is set to launch a new line of modular watches inspired by the iconic Transformers franchise. These watches celebrate the series’ 40th anniversary, albeit belatedly, and will be offered through a crowdfunding campaign starting in mid-June.
The new collection includes three models based on classic characters from the 1984 Transformers cartoon: Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Bumblebee. Each watch features a modular design that allows users to mix and match parts, reflecting the transformative nature of the original characters.
The watches are built with stainless steel cases and scratch-resistant sapphire crystals. They come with a 22 mm silicon strap and offer 10 ATM water resistance. Super-LumiNova dials and hands ensure readability in low light.
Each model’s color scheme is tailored to its corresponding Transformer: blue and gray for Optimus Prime, purple and gray for Megatron, and yellow and black for Bumblebee. The back of each watch is engraved with a special 40th anniversary Transformers logo.
Fans can subscribe to Infantry’s newsletter for early updates on the campaign. This initiative follows a trend of successful Transformers-related crowdfunding efforts, including the well-supported 2025 Kickstarter for Skybound’s Marvel comic book compendiums.
