QVC UK has issued a recall for multiple models of its Diamonique by TOVA bracelet watches after tests revealed a “serious chemical risk” linked to high levels of nickel, a substance known to cause allergic reactions.
The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) released a safety alert warning that the crown of the watches releases nickel in amounts that exceed legal safety limits. Extended contact with nickel can cause skin irritation and allergic responses in sensitive individuals.
A total of 13 watch models are affected. The OPSS confirmed the products do not comply with the UK’s REACH Enforcement Regulations 2008, which limit the use of harmful chemicals in consumer products.
QVC has contacted customers who purchased the affected items, providing instructions for returning the watches and receiving a full refund. Shoppers are advised to stop wearing the products immediately to avoid health risks.
