Swiss watchmaker H. Moser & Cie. introduced two new Formula 1-inspired watches in an event near the Spanish Grand Prix last Thursday. The watches were created in partnership with the Alpine F1 team and its drivers.
The two models, the Streamliner Alpine Drivers Edition and the Streamliner Alpine Mechanics Edition, both capture the spirit of motorsport but in different ways. The Drivers Edition, worn by Alpine driver Pierre Gasly, features a skeleton design that exposes the watch’s mechanical movement. It uses a movement made by Agenhor and shows intricate gears both on the dial and the back. Gasly said he loves seeing the watch’s inner workings and appreciated the subtle design, including a helmet-shaped detail on the movement’s bridge.
The Mechanics Edition is a hybrid digital-analog watch designed for the race team crew. It connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth and can send real-time team messages about pit stops, strategy changes, and other urgent alerts. It also features countdown timers for upcoming Grand Prix events. H. Moser has already supplied 80 pieces to Alpine’s crew, and the watches were visible throughout the Spanish GP weekend.
Both watches feature Alpine’s blue and white colors on their rubber straps. Each watch is priced at $70,000, with 200 sets available for public sale. H. Moser plans to continue collaborating with the Alpine F1 team on future projects.
