While in Paris covering Omega’s pivotal role in Olympic timekeeping, I had the chance to spot an unreleased prototype of the new Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Ultra Light. This watch, quietly launched as one of two prototypes, was casually worn by an Omega employee at the event. I jokingly asked if there were any upcoming products they could share, and the response I got was a laugh—perhaps a hint of another surprise launch for the Olympics.
Thanks to the sharp-eyed team at Gear Patrol, it seems that Omega ambassador Daniel Craig may have worn yet another unreleased watch, this time a potential black, no-date version of the Seamaster 300M. While I initially overlooked the images of Craig at the “Omega House” in Paris, it appears I may have missed a significant teaser.
At first glance, the new Seamaster 300M sports a mesh bracelet similar to the 60th Anniversary model, but with a key difference—the bezel is marked with a dive-appropriate pip rather than the usual “60” marker. The white hands and indices are also familiar, but instead of the typical lollipop seconds hand, this one appears to have the traditional hand seen in the Seamaster 300M. The design brings to mind a look straight out of a James Bond movie, fitting for Craig’s association with Omega.
Gear Patrol also pointed out some subtle design tweaks, such as a potentially new crystal and a ceramic bezel. These features align with Omega’s tradition of producing “unit watches” designed for military and special forces, such as those worn by the U.S. Secret Service and Denmark’s Frømandskorpset (naval special forces). In fact, a photo shared by Omega on Instagram shows the watch with a wave-pattern dial, reinforcing its connection to Omega’s high-performance lineup.
This potential release may be Omega’s answer to Rolex’s popular no-date Submariner, a timepiece many enthusiasts have long awaited. As the buzz grows, it’s only a matter of time before we learn more about this intriguing new model.
