BOSTON – European Watch Company (EWC), a leading dealer of luxury pre-owned timepieces, has announced an exclusive partnership with global insurer Chubb to offer specialized worldwide coverage for valuable watch collections.
With more than 30 years in the luxury watch market, EWC is known for its trust, service, and dedication to fine timepieces. Chubb, one of the most respected names in insurance, brings its deep expertise in high-value asset protection to the partnership. The collaboration is powered by Chubb Studio, the company’s digital integration platform, which enables fast, seamless access to insurance services for EWC customers.
The new insurance product, underwritten by Chubb, offers worldwide protection for watch collections with no deductible. Coverage includes protection against loss, theft, damage, and mysterious disappearance. It is based on each timepiece’s market value and is adjusted annually to reflect changes in the secondary market. Unlike many homeowner policies that limit coverage for jewelry and watches, this plan guarantees full protection for the insured amount—with payouts of up to 150% of the policy limit when applicable.
“Every day, we hear horror stories of entire collections being stolen, and we wanted to provide our clients with an ironclad way to protect their investments,” said Joshua Ganjei, CEO of European Watch Company. “Luxury watches represent more than craftsmanship—they are history and assets. With Chubb’s expertise, we’re delivering a protection plan that reflects their true value.”
Chubb’s offering also provides premium discounts for large collections based on safety measures taken at home and during travel. Appraisals are not required for watches under $100,000, and claim settlement options include repair, replacement, or cash compensation.
“At Chubb, we understand the excitement and care that go into acquiring jewelry and timepieces,” said Amy McNeece, Head of Digital Consumer for Personal Risk Services at Chubb.
Founded by Albert Ganjei in 1993, European Watch Company began by offering fine timepieces priced between $800 and $2,000—well before the luxury watch market became mainstream. The company has always focused on craftsmanship and timeless design over fleeting trends. Now led by Albert and his son Joshua, the family-run business is one of the top full-service watch retailers in the U.S.
European Watch Company carries models from leading manufacturers including Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, F.P. Journe, A. Lange & Söhne, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and more. With a global customer base in over 72 countries, the company remains committed to personal service and horological excellence.
Customers can buy, sell, and trade watches worldwide through EWC’s app, available on iOS and Android, continuing its mission to serve collectors with integrity and care.
