Berry’s Jewellers has announced that its Albion Street flagship store in Leeds will officially reopen in June as a dedicated Patek Philippe boutique. The transformation of the historic multibrand location marks a significant moment for both the jeweller and the luxury watch brand.
Approved by Adrian Lurshay, managing director of Patek Philippe UK, the Leeds boutique will be the only one of its kind in the UK outside London. This boutique status allows Berry’s to offer some of the rarest and most exclusive Patek Philippe timepieces.
“When a customer visits, they are going to feel like they are in the Patek Philippe world. We are bringing a bit of Geneva to Leeds,” Lurshay told the Yorkshire Post.
The only other Patek Philippe boutique in the UK is on Old Bond Street in Mayfair, London. That store is owned and operated directly by the Swiss watchmaker.
The impact of boutique status is clear. In the 2023–24 financial year, the London boutique reported sales of £83 million—up 10% from the previous year—and represented over one-third of Patek Philippe’s UK revenue.
Berry’s, which generated £77 million in sales in the year ending June 2023, is now positioned to match that level of prestige. Managing director Simon Walton believes the boutique reflects both Berry’s long-standing partnership with Patek Philippe and Leeds’ growing importance.
“This is a real feather in the cap for Leeds to have this boutique here, rather than it being granted to Manchester,” Walton said. “That’s down to the relationship between Patek Philippe and Berry’s, but also the city being the ideal location.”
While Boodles in Manchester is currently upgrading its Patek Philippe section, it will not receive boutique status like Berry’s Leeds location.
