Luxury watchmaker, CIGA Design, known for its innovative designs, has unveiled its latest creation – the Series X Eye of Horus watch collection. Inspired by the ancient Egyptian deity Horus and his iconic eye, symbolizing power and luck, the collection seamlessly blends ancient mystique with modern craftsmanship.
CIGA Design, boasting an impressive tally of 17 international design awards, has once again pushed the boundaries of creativity. The Series X Eye of Horus watch pays homage to the legendary tale of Horus, the son of Osiris and Isis, whose right eye, lost in battle, became a symbol of strength after being magically restored.
The timepiece features a bold and generously sized black cushion-shaped case, measuring 47.3mm x 48.0mm and 12.1mm thick. Crafted from bioceramic material, a blend of ceramic and eco-friendly castor-plant oil derivative, the case is not only durable but adapts to body temperature, ensuring comfort on the wrist.
The watch’s winding crown, a standout feature, is adorned with obsidian, a material cherished by ancient Egyptians for its perceived protective and healing properties. The skeletonized design, a hallmark of CIGA’s Series X watches, showcases an open-worked dial and a transparent caseback, both protected by heat-hardened mineral glass.
The dial’s centerpiece is a rotating pyramid housing the Eye of Horus, a unique twist replacing the traditional seconds hand. Luminescent coating on the indicators and hour markers ensures easy legibility in low light conditions. Three variations of the Eye of Horus are offered, featuring black, rose gold, or silver-colored metal components.
Underneath the captivating exterior beats the heart of innovation – the CIGA Design-developed Caliber CD-01 automatic movement. Operating at a frequency of 21,600vph, the movement provides a robust 40-hour power reserve and accuracy within -15/+30 seconds per day. Water-resistant up to 30 meters, the watch comes with a black silicone strap, easily interchangeable with the quick-release spring bars.
