In a bid to encourage healthier lifestyles and reward policyholders for their well-being efforts, John Hancock has introduced the latest Apple Watch models to its renowned Vitality Program. Starting this fall, members can acquire the Apple Watch Series 9 or Apple Watch SE for as little as $25, plus tax, by engaging in regular exercise. For those seeking an extra edge with the Apple Watch Ultra 2, an upgrade fee is also available. Lindsay Hanson, Chief Marketing Officer at John Hancock, expressed the company’s commitment to helping customers lead healthier lives, stating, “It’s what drives us to offer the most innovative resources, tools, education, and technology.”

The Apple Watch has proven to be a popular component of the John Hancock Vitality Program, with users showing remarkable engagement. A recent analysis revealed that Apple Watch users earn approximately 8 times more points in their current program year compared to non-Apple Watch users. The Apple Watch’s features, including activity tracking, sleep monitoring, and advanced health capabilities, contribute to its effectiveness in promoting a healthy lifestyle.

“We’ve seen firsthand the impact the Vitality program can have on an individual’s health,” said Hanson. “Apple Watch has the ability to help customers maintain or improve their health, and in some cases, we’ve heard customers share that these devices have even changed their lives.”

Under the Apple Watch program, Vitality PLUS members make an initial payment of $25, plus tax, with the remaining balance paid monthly over two years. Regular exercise can reduce monthly payments to as little as $0, and the earned Vitality Points can lead to additional rewards and discounts, including savings on life insurance premiums.

John Hancock is one of the largest life insurers in the United States, supporting over ten million Americans with a range of financial products, including life insurance and annuities. The collaboration with Apple highlights the company’s dedication to leveraging technology to enhance its customers’ well-being.

Note: The Apple Watch program is not available in New York or Puerto Rico. Apple Watches ordered through John Hancock Vitality may not be shipped to addresses in Guam. Apple is not a participant in or sponsor of this promotion.
